Darrell Opper is Minister of Music and Worship and has been on staff at Indian Hills for 30 years. Earning his music degree from Ouachita Baptist University and his Master of Church Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Darrell has served churches in both Texas and Oklahoma. He and his wife Dana have two children, Guy and his wife Rachel and Leslie-Marie and her husband Todd. They also enjoy three grandchildren. Darrell’s goal as worship leader at The Hills is to encourage, lead and challenge the body of Christ to actively participate in worship by way of music. It is often said (because it is true) that Christian’s learn and remember more of their working theology from the hymns they sing than from Sunday School lessons or preaching. Sunday School and preaching are vital to the growth of all believers and we understand and strive to sing hymns, worship choruses and choral music that incorporate solid scriptural truths.
“He has put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God” Psalms 40:3
